Kern, 83, passed away at her farm home on Sheldon Road on Monday, April 30, after an illness of more than a year, and with her death the old and well known family to which she belonged, passes from the life of the community. The only survivors are several cousins. Memorial rites for Miss Kern were held at Kays Funeral Home Thursday afternoon May 3, at 3:00 o'clock with the Rev. Edward C, Hanney conducting the service. Interment was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush, beside other family members.
The deceased was born May 9, 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Kern and a sister and brother grew up with her in the Rush-Honeoye Falls neighborhood.
The parents and brother died some time ago and the two sisters lived on together during their venerable years cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Roberts, close friends, who make their home on the Kern farm. Miss Mary Kern died a few years past and Miss Anna missed her deeply. The two ladies were devoted to the Rush Methodist Church and were faithful attendents as long as they were able to do so. Many in the area will remember the Kerns as respected citizens during their long lives.

Death Notice
Kern- Anne B Kern, at her home in Sheldon Rd., Honeoye Falls, N.Y.
