She was the oldest child of the late Virgil and Gertrude Sine </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Vater</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> and was born on June 25, 1925 near Grants Lick. In 1943 she married Frank </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Florence</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> Jr. who receded her in death in 2004. To this union were born three children Terry </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Florence</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;">, Linda French and Nancy Whitlock. </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Elizabeth</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> graduated from Campbell Co. Highschool in 1943 and later from the University of Louisville. She accepted Christ and was baptized in Phillips Creek into the Grants Lick Baptist Church in 1935 when she was ten years old and was a faithful Christian until the day she died. She was a retired elementary teacher. Her husband was a Baptist minister. His first church was KentoBoo Baptist in </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Florence</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> and he retired from the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring in 1981. Between those two churches he pastored several other churches in KY, mostly in Louisville. From 1971-73 the Florence's were Missionary Associates in Bogota, Columbia. </span><br style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Elizabeth</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> served as church pianist and organist at several churches where her husband preached. She wa an amateur artist and painted the baptistery scene at the Lynn Acres Baptist Church in Louisville where her husband was pastor for 12 1/2 years. She also won first prize at the county fair with her paintings. Virgil </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Vater</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> Jr and Raymond </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Vater</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> and two sisters J</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;">acquel</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;">ine Warner and Pauline Wharton. She also leaves nine beloved grandchildren Alan, Matthew, Ronda, Mark, Aaron, Rachael, Rebecca, Grant and Grey. Nine Precious Great Grandchildren, Allison, Chase, Luke, Kobe, Jake, Haylee, Michael, Andrew and Alexander. She will be laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery at Grants Lick. Funeral services will be held in the Grants Lick Baptist Church on Monday September 17, 2012 at 12pm. Visitation will be Monday at 10am also at the church. Under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.</span></p>
