    <p><strong>Riis-Pearson</strong></p><p>Aviation Ordnanceman, third class, J. Ward Riis, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. P. Ward Stallsmith, Gettysburg, and Miss Sarah Marjorie Pearson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pearson, Concord, New Hampshire, were married January 23, at the Congregational church, Webster, New Hampshire by the Rev. Sawyer, pastor of the church.</p><p>A-O Riis is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Riis, Concord. His mother is the former Miss Catherine Stallsmith.</p><p>Miss Marian Pearson, a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor while Betty Lou Riis, a sister of the bridegroom was bridesmaid. The bridegroom&#39;s brother, Lawrence Riis, Jr., was best man.</p><p>A-O Riis has been stationed for the last 13 months with the U. S. Navy at Fort Laurendale, Fla. He and his bride visited his grandparents at Gettysburg before leaving Tuesday morning for Florida where he will resume his duties.</p><p>Gettysburg Times, February 5, 1944, pg 5.</p>
