WILL OTT DIES AFTER ILLNESS OF SEVERAL MONTHS</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">Funeral in Cathedral Saturday 9 A. M.; Body to Lie in State Friday Afternoon</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">MRS. MAGDALENA OTT, wife of Will Ott, president of the Segelke-Kohlhaus<br></font><font size="3">Manufacturing company, died at her home, 1634 King street, at 6:15 Wednesday night, after<br></font><font size="3">an illness of several months with a complication of diseases.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">Mrs. Ott, after receiving treatment at the Battle Creek sanitarium, was taken to St. Luke’s<br></font><font size="3">hospital in Chicago, where she submitted to an operation May 25, 1921. When able to travel<br></font><font size="3">she was brought to her home in this city. She had been steadily failing for several weeks past<br></font><font size="3">and the end came early Wednesday evening.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">Magdelena Blumentritt was born in Baltimore, August 7, 1867, and came with her parents<br></font><font size="3">to La Crosse at the age of four years. She had been a continuous resident of the city for fifty<br></font><font size="3">years.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Edward Newburg, and one son, Ben A. Ott.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">The oldest daughter, Miss Roese Ott died 11 years ago, on Labor Day. Mrs. Ott is survived by<br></font><font size="3">three sisters, Mrs. Mary Muth and Mrs. Henry Sieger, La Crosse; and Mrs. Tressa Roellig,<br></font><font size="3">Gary, Ind., and one brother, Joseph Blumentritt, St. Paul.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">Mrs. Ott was widely known and beloved in La Crosse. Possessed of a kindly, gentle<br></font><font size="3">disposition, with strong home-loving propensities, she won the esteem and affection of a wide<br></font><font size="3">circle of friends.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Joseph’s<br></font><font size="3">cathedral.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">Friends of Mrs. Ott will have opportunity to pay their respects at the residence after 3 p.m.<br></font><font size="3">Friday.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3">{Document transcription courtesy of Joyce Frey, January 2010]</font></p></font>
