    <font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><p align="left">Mr. Frederick Bleich was stricken with appoplexy Saturday morning, June 7, at about 11 o&#39;clock at his home in Avoca, Iowa.</p><p align="left">He never regained conciousness, and passed peacefully away the next morning at 2:15, aged seventy-one years, seven months</p><p align="left">and two days. Funeral services were held at the Second Congregational church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. W. F. Essig</p><p align="left">officiating. Mr. Bleich, son of Gottleib and Anna Bleich, was born in Germany in the Provice of Possen November 6,</p><p align="left">1852. He received Holy Baptism and was confirmed in the Evangelical faith, also received a good education. In 1869 at</p><p align="left">the age of 17 years he came with his parents to American and lived for at time in Chatsworth, Illinois. Then he, with his</p><p align="left">parents and about a dozen Illinois friends, came to Iowa, traveling in wagons and settled down in Mills county on a farm. In</p><p align="left">1874 he bought land near Oakland, Iowa, and later made his home on a farm near Silver Creek. On January 1, 1877 he united</p><p align="left">in marriage with Miss Charlotte Busse. The Lord blessed them with five children: Adolph, Helena, Hulda, Charlotte and</p><p align="left">Emiline. Adolph and Helena preceded him in death. After a period of 27 years of farm life, he moved to Avoca in 1903. Here</p><p align="left">he joined our Second Congregational church and has been a very active, serviceable and lovable member. As a citizen of our</p><p align="left">community he was much respected and loved because of his friendly and faithful Christian character. He will be much</p><p align="left">missed by the church and a host of friends and neighbors. His grief-stricken wife has lost a loving husband, his children a</p><p align="left">good father, the relatives and friends a good true friend. He leaves to mourn, his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Hulda Stuhr,</p><p align="left">of Silver Creek; Mrs. Charlotte Noller, of Hancock, Iowa; and Mrs. Emiline Rohlfs, of Avoca, nine grandchildren, five</p><p align="left">sisters, Mrs. Minnie Alfs, of Cherokee, Ia., Mrs. Henrietta Guderjon of Oakland, Ia., Mrs. Augusta Helman, of Oakland, Ia.,</p><p align="left">Mrs. Emma Haliday of Laurel, Nebr., Mrs. Julia Strobel of Hancock, Ia., and many relatives and friends. May God console</p><p align="left">the sorrowing and help us all to heavenly reunion is our prayers.
