Sophia Elizabeth Von Hagen
1893-1987
Born: Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio
Died: Red Bluff, Tehama, CA
I don't know much about the story, only that it happened when Gramma Sophie was a young woman, teenager probably. She was run over by a horse and buggy, must have been back in Cincinatti. She suffered greatly from this accident, which took one of her kidneys, left her arm with only slight mobility and unable to straighten it completely. Also she had one side of her mouth and nose were noticeably scared and disfigured. She was an attractive lady with fine features, had it not been for this horrible tragedy. The upside of the whole thing is that she did survive to bear children and live a long life.
