Born June 19, 1927, she was the oldest of three daughters born to Leo and Marie Bleich. Lois was raised in the small farming community of Wesley, Iowa. After graduating high school, she attended Iowa State University and Iowa State Teachers College. In 1947, Lois married Willis Bohn of St. Paul, Minnesota. Together they moved to Ames, Iowa where Willis completed his engineering degree at Iowa State University. Lois and Willis moved to California in 1952 and settled in Tiburon where they raised their five children. Lois was actively involved in St. Hilary Catholic Church in Tiburon, including the church salvage shop where she volunteered countless hours over many years. After she and Willis moved to Healdsburg in 1985, they became members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Windsor. Lois also became a member of the Dry Creek Neighbors Club and she joined a local knitting group where she learned the art of knitting sweaters. Lois loved the simple things in life and had lifelong hobbies of rock collecting and bird watching. Always her greatest love was her family and the joy of having children and grandchildren around. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Willis in 2001. She is survived by five children, Richard Bohn of Costa Mesa, CA, Jim Bohn and wife Lorinda of Spokane, WA, Jack Bohn of Georgetown, CA, Patrick Bohn of Healdsburg, CA, and Jodie Stager of Beaverton, OR, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Margie and husband Jack Bohn of Palos Verdes, CA and Lorraine and husband Jerry Gallogy of Indianapolis, IN and several very special nieces and nephews. Rosary will be Thursday June 23 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary.
