Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, officiating. Burial was made in the Withee Riverside Cemetery.</p><p style="margin: 0px 75px" align="left"><br>Mr. Piekola was born Jan. 5, 1908, at Ely, Minn. He married the former Helen Hahto on Oct. 6, 1932, at Waukegan, Ill.</p><p style="margin: 0px 75px" align="left"><br>He attended the Beaver Center School near Loyal, of which he was a former school board member. He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge at Neillsville.</p><p style="margin: 0px 75px" align="left"><br>He moved to the Town of Beaver at the age of 7 and later farmed there from 1938 until 1959. He then moved to Waukegan, Ill. and lived there until 1961, when they came to a farm in the Town of Longwood. </p><p style="margin: 0px 75px" align="left"><br>Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Jeannie Brecker, Phillips, and Mrs. William (Clara) Davel, Loyal. One nephew, Owen Brecker, Key West, Fla.</p><p style="margin: 0px 75px" align="left"><br>He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.</p>
