    <p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">From a Stoughton, Wisconsin newspaper, 1917:&nbsp; &quot;MRS. OLENE HANSON - Mrs. Olene Hanson, the aged mother of Mrs. Andrew Mattson and Mrs. Walter Montague, passed away yesterday noon at the home of Mrs. Montague, where she long had been a sufferer with a complication of ailments.&nbsp; As her life ebbed towards the last, she expressed a wish that she might die on Sunday, and her wish was fulfilled.</font></p><p><font face="Arial">A brief funeral service was conducted at the Montague home this afternoon by Rev. M.H. Hegge and Rev. L.L. Nesvig, and tomorrow morning the remains will be conveyed to Mt. Horab, where funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon by Rev. J.J. Lee, formerly of our city, who comes from Red Cliffe, Iowa, to officiate.</font></p><p><font face="Arial">The deceased, whose maiden name was Olene Brenningen, was a native of Bergen, Norway, where she was born July 24, 1837, thus being nearly 80 years of age at the time of her death.&nbsp; When 12 years old she came to this country, the family locating near Mt. Horeb.&nbsp; She was married to Andrew Hanson in 1856 and resided on a farm until 22 years ago when Mr. Hanson gave up farming and moved into the village of Mr. Horab.&nbsp; He died Feb. 8, 1897, but Mrs. Hanson continued to reside at Mount Horeb until three years ago when her health became very poor, and since then she has made her home in this city with her daughters, Mrs. Mattson and Mrs. Montague.&nbsp; Surviving here are nine children, five sons and four daughters.&quot;&nbsp;</font></p>
