<p><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">Moran, Joyce</span><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">Joyce Celentano Moran, 72, of Norwalk died at home on December 14 following a long illness. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of Alfred and Julia Celentano of Hamden. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and was valedictorian of her class. She received a B.A. in Biology from the College of New Rochelle which awarded her the Ursula Laurus Citation for distinguished service in 2001.</span><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">She was active in her community, serving as the President of the Honeyhill School PTA, Junior Tennis coordinator for the Shore and Country Club, and Tennis Coach at Central Catholic High School. A parishioner of St. Jerome Parish, she was one of the founders of its REACH Program and served as its liturgy coordinator in that program's early years. She was a lector and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at St. Jerome for three decades. Beginning in 1992 she served as a volunteer at Norwalk Hospital in both the surgical waiting room and in the infusion suite at the Whittingham Cancer Center. She was elected President of the 700 person Volunteer Organization in 1997 and served for two years on the Hospital's Board of Trustees. Following that she served as a volunteer in the Cancer Center.</span><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerry, and three sons: Gerry and his wife Kim and two children, Meghan and Michael of Kennewick WA; Don and his wife Mary Kate of Great Falls VA and their three children, Donald, Ian and Nicole; Stephen and his wife Kelly of Greenwood Village CO and their three girls, Maggie, Allyson and Molly. </span><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">Joyce was an avid tennis player and swimmer and an accomplished gourmet cook who enjoyed traveling, especially to see her grandchildren.</span><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">Calling hours will be from 4-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
