<p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px">The Springfield Daily Republican, Wednesday, February 4, 1920</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px">Mrs. Mary Sheridan Dead</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px">Mrs. Mary Sheridan, 88, the widow of James Sheridan , died this morning at 12:45 at her home, 41 Maplewood Ave, 13 hours after her daughter, Miss Elizabeth A Sheridan, a trained nurse, passed away of pneumonia at the city hospital, Blackwell's Island, New York. Mrs. Sheridan had been in serious condition for a week. Her daughter, Miss Mary I Sheridan was with her sister in New York at the time of her death. Before marriage, Mrs. Sheridan was Miss Nancy Carroll McCarey (Their misspelling) , descent of the Carroll family of Baltimore. She and her husband lived in Malone and Cohoes N.Y. and Rutland V.T. before coming to Pittsfield in 1899 to make their home. She is survived by one son, John H Sheridan of Los Angeles, Cal., and one daughter, Mss Mary I Sheridan of Pittsfield. A son, William Sheridan was prominent as a sportsman and clubman before his death 12 years ago. There will be a double funeral at St. Joseph's Church Thursday morning at 10 and the mother and daughter will be buried side by side in the family lot in St. Joseph's Cemetery.</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px">The Springfield Daily Republican: Friday, February 6, 1920</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px">Double Funeral Held</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; text-align: center; font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif; padding: 0px">A double funeral service for Mrs. Mary Sheridan and her daughter, Miss Elizabeth Sheridan was held at St. Joseph's Church this morning at 10. There was a solemn requiem high mass celebrated by Rev Bernard S Conaty with Rev George S Connor as deacon and the Rev Eugene F Marshall as sub-deacon. The bearers for Mrs Sheridan were Mathias McCormick, Daniel F Farrell, Alfred C Daniels, Robert F Stanton,, Patrick F Shields and Thomas H Law. The bearers for Miss Sheridan were T Conney, Jr., D.F. Sweeney, Dr, William H Fallon, A.J. Pencock and D.J. Haylon. Burial was in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Dr M. W. Flynn was in charge of the arrangements at the church. Among those from out of town at the service were Mrs Michael Murray and Mrs. Alexander F McWilliams of Boston MA, Miss Julia Gill of Washington DC., Mrs. T Francis Kennedy of Cohoes N.Y. , Neil Rutledge of Greenwich N.Y. John Kelly and Mss Hazel Kelly of Norfolk CT.</p>
