The people, the Capolungo&rsquo;s, who lived in this house, have fond memories about growing-up there.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">Rose remembers playing sick to skip school just to be able to go to her grandpa&rsquo;s farm.<span>&nbsp; </span>She really liked being there.<span>&nbsp; </span>When she was little she got to sleep with her grandma and grandpa but as she grew-up, she slept with her aunts, Carmella and Angelina.<span>&nbsp; </span>Breakfasts were special to her, coffee with goat&rsquo;s milk, fried potatoes and sausages.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">Eugene also remembers the farm, especially when it was time to butcher the hogs.<span>&nbsp; </span>His uncles, Joe, Paul, Roxy and Mike were there to help and entertain the younger children.<span>&nbsp; </span>His wife Susan remembers Sunday dinners at the house.<span>&nbsp; </span>There was so much food, no one went away hungry and it was amazing how good the dark leaves of lettuce could taste with garlic, olive oil and vinegar.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">Angelo remembers the Sunday dinners too.<span>&nbsp; </span>Spaghetti, meatballs and chicken or roast with all the trimmings.<span>&nbsp; </span>Everyone was welcome to eat at the table.<span>&nbsp; </span>The family was always together.<span>&nbsp; </span>The Christmas Eve traditional fish dinner is another of his fond memories.<span>&nbsp; </span>He remembers a special Christmas when he was 16 and got his first shotgun from his sister Rose and her husband James.<span>&nbsp; </span>His wife, Marie, remembers learning to crochet in this house.<span>&nbsp; </span>Her mother-in-law was a good teacher.<span>&nbsp; </span>She still enjoys crocheting and fixing the food she learned to make.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">Anna Mae, the youngest of the seven children born in this house remembers Christmas too. <span>&nbsp;</span>This seems to be a favorite memory of all that remember growing-up in this house.<span>&nbsp; </span>Anna Mae always wanted to tag along with her older brother, Angelo and as any other brother would sister would do, he always sent her home.<span>&nbsp; </span>It seems that playing cards was a Sunday afternoon past time that is remembered fondly.<span>&nbsp; </span>Her husband, Pat now understands why no one wanted him to eat the chicken livers grandma would fix on Sunday mornings, after he tasted them, he now enjoys them.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">Not just children raised in this house have fond memories, but grandchildren do too!<span>&nbsp; </span>Paulette, the oldest grandchild, grew-up spending a lot of time there.<span>&nbsp; </span>When she moved away from the neighborhood, she was able to talk for hours on the phone with Grandma Teresa just like she was one of her girlfriends.<span>&nbsp; </span>They would talk for hours about all sorts of things &ndash; school problems, boyfriend trouble, family concerns, soap operas and of course help with cooking.<span>&nbsp; </span>Another favorite memory is that Larry, her husband, would pick grandma up from church on his way home from work and she would make him Italian toast and coffee for breakfast.<span>&nbsp; </span>This was something that Larry loved to do and something grandma always spoke of and one of as one of her best memories.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">Patricia, the third oldest grandchild, has some special memories too.<span>&nbsp; </span>She remembers everyone being together in grandma&rsquo;s kitchen, sleeping on the roll-a-way bed in the middle of Bernadine and Paulette, hearing the coo-coo clock and the train whistle in the morning.<span>&nbsp; </span>Aunt Rosie would always tell her she was going to give her back to the Indians when she was being bad.<span>&nbsp; </span>She wants to know which Indians.<span>&nbsp; </span>She would always call grandma for recipes especially the celery soup and egg soup. She remembers some special times with the family too: riding in the car with Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Anna Mae for one of her aunt&rsquo;s first driving lessons.<span>&nbsp; </span>Her first memory of Uncle Gene was his homecoming from Korea.<span>&nbsp; </span>He was in his uniform and all the family was there to welcome him home.<span>&nbsp; </span>She remembers Uncle Anglo&rsquo;s call from Cuba during the Bay of Pigs crisis.<span>&nbsp; </span>He called grandma to let her know her was ok and that he was smoking a Cuban cigar.<span>&nbsp; </span>She felt special because when she wrote to him he would always answer her.<span>&nbsp; </span>She still has these letters. Uncle Al will always be remembered for making a sandwich out of everything and dunking it in his coffee. Her Mother, Florence, was a good cook too.<span>&nbsp; </span>One of her special recipes was Banana Cream Pie, every time she made them her brothers would fight over the last piece.<span>&nbsp; </span>Uncle Gene usually won.<span>&nbsp; </span>It wasn&rsquo;t just the pie but all the fabulous cookies and other sweets she would make that made everyone want the leftovers.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%">All of these memories show a family that was together for good times and bad times, always there for each other.<span>&nbsp; </span>If someone needed help it was there and it still is the same now.<span>&nbsp; </span>What a wonderful way to grow-up and have such wonderful memories.</span></p>
