<font size="1"><p>The pagination may not be correct and translated or doubtful wording may not be indicated. </p><p>119 KK Bride</p><p>The last will and testament of Issabel Lace als Kerruish</p><p>who departed this life January 24th, 1740, in perfect </p><p>mind and memory at the making hereof. </p><p>First, she committed her soul unto God and her body to Christian burial. </p><p>Item, she left to her son Daniel Lace forty shillings, </p><p>xxx, and a blanket, and what would be a pair of breeches of cloth. </p><p>Item, to her son Ewan forty shillings, and one of the </p><p>small beasts that was in the Curragh, a furnished </p><p>feather bed; with the sheep in the Moon xxx xxxx xxx </p><p>of the rest of the sheep, as much cloth as to make </p><p>him a pair of breeches, and as much fledding as to </p><p>make him a waistcoat. </p><p>Item, she declared that her son in law William Callow </p><p>of Cardal vegg was indebted to her the sum of thirty </p><p>six shillings, of which she left sixteen shillings to </p><p>himself and the other twenty to be paid to her executor. </p><p>Item, she left to her son William the horse, an ox, </p><p>and an half, and he to be kind to her executor. </p><p>Item, to her daughter in law a brood goose. </p><p>Item, to her daughter in Cardal, a green apron, </p><p>and her children two yards of linen cloth. </p><p>Item, to Isabel Corkish her maid a yard of linen, </p><p>and to Isabel Christian a coif, to Esther Corteen </p><p>a coife. She ordered that is any of the children </p><p>died, the share of goods to fall to the rest excluding </p><p>the hsir. To Margret Crinnil her wearing gown, </p><p>and the petticoat belonging to it. align="left">When Daniel's mother died, she left him "her part of the crop of corn, her part of the team of oxen including</p><p align="left">gear, and her part of the mair in foal." She also left him her part of "all the lands in the Curragh upon condition</p><p align="left">that her husband should also leave his part of said lands to him".</p><p align="left">Farmer of Kerrowdhoo. Daniel married Isabel Kerruish the same day that his father William married her</p><p align="left">widowed mother, who was also named Isabel Kerruish. On his father's death in 1732, he was left an inheritance</p><p align="left">of the other half of the ox owned by his father and his father's share of the sheep on the farm. Imprimis, he committed his soul to God and body to</p><p align="left">Christian burial.</p><p align="left">Item, he left and bequeathed to his eldest son William Lace half the crop of corn, half the team of oxen and</p><p align="left">husbandry gears together with a certain cloase in the parish of KK Andrews called Cloase y Drought, he, his</p><p align="left">aforesaid son paying the sum of four pounds to his Fatherís Executors.</p><p align="left">Moreover he left and bequeathed all the sheep that were between them unto his said son William.</p><p align="left">The Testatorís wife vizt., Isable Lace als Kerruish gave her consent to her said Husbandís will, to give her own</p><p align="left">half of the above said cloase after her death, and also her part of the afore mentioned sheep to her said son</p><p align="left">William Lace,</p><p align="left">he, the said William likewise consenting to give a Croft that was between him and his said Mother wholly to</p><p align="left">herself.</p><p align="left">Item, to his son Daniel Lace twenty shillings legacy.</p><p align="left">To his son Ewan Lace six pounds.</p><p align="left">Item, to his daughter Catherin Callow als Lace twelve shillings legacy, which was in her own hands.</p><p align="left">Item, he declared that there was two pounds two shilling due to John Christian from him. & 4 pence to the</p><p align="left">Clerk’s wife.</p><p align="left">Item, to the witnesses of his will fourteen pence each.</p><p align="left">Lastly, he nominated constituted and appointed his loving wife Isable Lace als Kerruish and daughter Isable</p><p align="left">join Executrices of all the rest of his goods and effects moveable and unmoveable whatsoever.</p><p align="left">Note that the above said William Lace the son has given his consent tohis Father’s will, to pay the above</p><p align="left">mentioned sum of four pounds to his Father’s Executrices.</p><p align="left">As witness his name and mark this 27th June 1739.</p><p align="left">[signed their marks] William Lace,</p><p align="left">Isable Lace als Kerruish.</p><p align="left">Witnesses:</p><p align="left">Matth: Curghey,</p><p align="left">Ewan Moore.</p><p align="left">Isabel Lace the widow gives her consent to settle her part of Close y Droghad upon her son William after her</p><p align="left">decease, and his part of the sheep in present possession.
