<p>Obituary 1916:</p> <p>Koerber- Mrs. Ernest Koerber died at the Saginaw General Hospital early Friday morning after a lingering illness of diabetes, aged 68 years. Catherine Graebner was born March 6, 1847, in Kulmbach, Bavaria, (Germany became nation in 1870) and at the age of five years came to this country with her parents, settling on a farm near Blumfield. October 24, 1869 she was married to Ernest Koerber, and they took up their residence in Saginaw, at 1008 Throop Street, where they had since resided. She was taken to the hospital last week for an operation, but grew steadily worse until Friday morning the end came. Besides here husband, she is survived by nine children, Benjamin, Henry, William, Ernest, John, Louis, Josephine, Mrs. Andrew Gosen (Emma), Mrs. B.H. Weiss (Ida), one brother Casper Graebner and one sister Mrs. Fred Spatz, and eight grandchildren. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the family home, and at 2 o'clock from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery on Brockway Street, and Rev. H. Speckhard will officiate.</p> <p> </p>
