<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: black">James Cannavan was born in Ireland in about 1814. The 1841 Census shows that he may have moved to <span>Old Monkland </span>Lanarkshire in Scotland by then. That James seems to have married Ann and had 3 children. That connection has been made by a researcher but is at best tenable. He definitely moved to America in 1849 (1900 U.S. Federal<span> </span>Census}.<span> </span>His wife Margaret was born in Ireland in 1826. The 1870 census shows James living in <strong><span style="font-weight: normal">Patoka, Crawford, Indiana, United States</span></strong><span>. By 1880 he had moved to </span><strong><span style="font-weight: normal">Oil, Perry, Indiana, United States</span></strong><span> and he died in Perry on 18<sup>th</sup> November 1905. Their eldest son, James F. was born in Indiana in April 1862 and was still resident in </span><strong><span style="font-weight: normal">Oil, Perry, Indiana</span></strong><span> in 1930. Their second son was Thomas Peter who was 20<sup>th</sup> August 1863 in </span><strong><span style="font-weight: normal">St. Croix, Indiana</span></strong><span> . Daughter Margaret was born in 1866 and then son Ambrose (1868-1913). </span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal"><span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: black">Thomas Peter Cannavan married Frederica Wirth on 13 Aug 1887 in Gibson Co. Indiana. The 1880 census placed her at Patoka. They were married on her 24<sup>th</sup> birthday (b. 1863). Her parents were Nicholas Wirth (1832-1910) and Frederica Caroline (nee Stolpp). [1837-1907]. Nichoas was born in </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #694e49; font-weight: normal">Landstuhl, Bavaria, Germany., the son of Adam Wirth (born in Landstuhl, Bavaria, Germany on 12<sup>th</sup> May 1805, died 1844) and </span></strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333">Helena Koch Lion</span><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #694e49; font-weight: normal"> (born 1807). Her father was </span></strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333">Weenddelini Lion (born 1781) and mother was Gertrude Ostheimer (born in </span><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #694e49; font-weight: normal">Landstuhl, Pfalz, Bayern</span></strong><span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #695e49"> (Bavaria) in 1785. Her parents were </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333">Johannes Frantz Ostheimer (7<sup>th</sup> Dec 1750 [Homburg, Bavaria] – 13<sup>th</sup> Aug 1811 [</span><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #694e49; font-weight: normal">Limbach, Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany</span></strong><span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #695e49"> ] )and Maria Catherina Kuhn. Johannes was the son of </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333">Johann Jakob Ostheimer (1714-1788) and Margaretha Daniel (1726-1762), the daughter of Heinrich (1688-1762) and Veronika (nee Zott) [1692-1745]. Heinrich’s parents were Johannes (1654-1696) and Anna Janson (1658-1701). Johann Jakob Ostheimer (1714-1788) was the son of Johann Ostheimer (1673-1751) and Elisabeth Lanslot (1686-1750), the daughter of Hans Nicolas Lanslott (1650-1712) and Catharina Margueritte Luther (1654-1712). </span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333"> </span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal"><span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: black">Frederica Caroline (nee Stolpp). [1837-1907] was the daughter of </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333">Johann Ludwig Stolpp (born in Germany in 1808) and emigrated to Baltimore in Maryland in 1860. His wife was Louisa Laib from Wuertemberg (1799-1800), the daughter of Johann Georg Laib (1756-1836) and Anna C. Eckert. His father (1717-1799) had exactly the same name and had married Christina Dorothea Flamm (1725-1752), the daughter of Johann Georg Flamm (1685-1760) and Anna Maria VOELTER (1689-1766).<span> </span>[daughter of Johann Conrad VOELTER (1657-1711), son of another Johann Conrad VOELTER (1625-1690). J.G.Flamm’s father was Johannes (1656-98) , whose wife was Anna Katharina Schmid (1654-1722). </span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333"> </span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', serif; color: #333333">Thomas Peter and Frederica Cannavan had two daughters. Caroline Catherine Cannavan was born on 9<sup>th</sup> June 1889 and died on 11<sup>th</sup> August 1963. She married Jerome Obert on 24<sup>th</sup> October 1917. Mary Agnes Cannavan was born on 4<sup>th</sup> April 1904 and died 3<sup>rd</sup> Octoer 1961. She married Ralph William Werner (26<sup>th</sup> Dec. 1895-11<sup>th</sup> July 1971). </span></p>
