Born in Windber, Pa., on June 26, 1914, she moved to Akron at age 1, where she spent most of her life before moving to Hudson to live with her son and his family in 1994. Prior to her marriage to Louis Gasbarro in 1952, she had been employed at Ohio Bell as a telephone operator. Alice attended North High School, St. Martha's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and was a longtime member of the Castel di Sangro Ladies Auxiliary. She was the proud recipient of the Council of Italian-American Societies of Summit County's Merit Award in 1976. Preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 1987; her parents, Carmine and Mary; in-laws, Antonietta and Alfred Gasbarro; brother, Bill; sister, Erma Sharnsky, and her husband, Alex; brothers-in-law, John Gasbarro and Frank Antonino; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Gasbarro, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Laura Gasbarro of Hudson; loving grandsons, Gregory and Nicholas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Bianca Ciccarelli, Chick and Laura Ciccarelli, Robert and Ellie Ciccarelli, Ron and Janice Ciccarelli; sister-in-law, Mary Ciccarelli; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lucy and Steve Flasco, Delia Antonino, Alfred Gasbarro, Phil and Mary Campanale, Gloria and Dick Leonard; as well as 13 godchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m., at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., in Stow. Mass of the Christian Burial Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 340 N. Main St., Hudson, Fr. Damian Ference, celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
