<p>THE PLATTSBURGH SENTINEL, JUNE 30, 1899.<br>IN MEMORY.</p><p>Mrs. Seth Nichols was buried. Friday afternoon, in the village cemetery at Chazy. Wednesday morning, surrounded by her devoted husband and daughters and her son Dean, she quietly passed away. </p><p>She was Miss Jane Ann DeLance, well connected with Gen. Delance who commanded the victorious forces at Fort Niagara 1755, and was with Gen. Abercrombie at Ticonderoga, 1758. She descended also from Lucy Bliss (Blish.) A member of that branch of the family present at the funeral service is in possession of a silver ladle which came over in the Mayflower. </p><p>The services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Cushing Dill. The text, II Cor. V. 10. "We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ," John V. 22, XII,17 46. Rev. J. H. Myers offered prayer Sacred hymns were sung by the quartet Mrs. Frank Waters, Mrs. Joel Graves, Augustus Dunning and J. W.Hubbell.</p>
