Mason, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Feb. 18, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #222222;"><span style="font-size: small;">She was born May 6, 1927, in Dundee, daughter of Henry F. and Mary Eschen Vierow. She married Thomas W. "Tom" Mason Oct. 11, 1947, in Cedar Falls. </span></span><span style="font-family: 'helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #222222;"><span style="font-size: small;">Mrs. Mason was employed by Bolser Corp. for 20 years. She also worked at Hinson Manufacturing for 17 years until it closed in 1981.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #222222;"><span style="font-size: small;">Survived by: her husband; two daughters, Marilyn E. Betts of Waterloo and Rhonda R. (Kenneth) Schrage of Waverly; a sister, Irene Hansen of Longmont, Colo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #222222;"><span style="font-size: small;">Preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers, Alfred, Frank, and Joachim Vierow; and a grandchild in infancy.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #222222;"><span style="font-size: small;">Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #222222;"><span style="font-size: small;">Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.</span></span></p>
