Conrad J. Daugiello, 75, of Wendover Road, a Catholic priest for 47 years, died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Palmer, he was a graduate of Palmer High School. He studied classics and philosophy at St. Joseph A. Cupertino Novitiate in Ellicott City, Md., and theology at St. Hyacinth's Seminary in Granby. He was ordained a priest in 1949 at St. Michael's Cathedral in Springfield by the most Rev. Thomas M. O'Leary D.D., Bishop of Springfield.<p style="font-size: 1em; margin-: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p>He was assigned to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New Bedford from 1949 to 1955, Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard in 1955, and St. Jerome Church in Holyoke from 1955 to 1956.<p style="font-size: 1em; margin-: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p>He was also a priest at Our Lady of the Rosary Church from 1956 to 1960, Holy Family Church in Pittsfield from 1960 to 1963, Holy Rosary Church in Hadley from 1963 to 1964, and Christ the King Church in Ludlow from 1964 to 1965.<p style="font-size: 1em; margin-: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p>He was assigned at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Adams from 1965 to 1966, Our Lady of the Rosary from from 1966 to 1969, St. Stanislaus Church in Adams from 1969 to 1970, Immaculate Conception Church in 1970, St. John's Church in Montague's Millers Falls section from 1970 to 1971, and Our Lady of Hope Church from 1971 to 1973. He was also in residence at St. Thomas Church in Huntington in 1974 and also at 36 Lakeway Drive in Pittsfield.<p style="font-size: 1em; margin-: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p>He an assistant pastor St. Mary's Church, Pittsfield, from 1978 to 1979, St. Peter's Church in Westfield in 1979, and Immaculate Conception Church from 1979 until his retirement 1982. He was then in residence at St. Catherine of Siena Church, and since 1986 he was at St. Michael's Residence.<p style="font-size: 1em; margin-: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p>He leaves a brother, Edward T. <strong>Dougal</strong> of Indian Orchard, and many nieces and nephews.<p style="font-size: 1em; margin-: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding: 0px"> </p>A funeral Mass will be Thursday morning at St. Catherine of Siena Church, with burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Palmer's Bondsville section. Calling hours at St. Catherine of Siena Church are Wednesday afternoon and evening.
