<span style="font-family: arial; font-size: 10px"><p style="margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 0pt"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL - Madison</font></font></p><p style="margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 0pt"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1911</font></font></p><p style="margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 0pt"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Obituary:</font></font></p><p style="margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 0pt"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">LEDWITH<span> </span>-<span> </span>Mrs James Ledwith,<span> </span>542 West Main Street, passed away Sunday morning at 11 o'clock after an illness of four weeks, following a complication of diseases.<span> </span>Mrs. Ledwith was 70 years old and had been a resident of Madison for over 50 years.<span> </span>James Ledwith, founder of the Ledwith Carriage firm, died 13 years ago.<span> </span>The couple were married 50 years ago in St. Raphael's church of this city.<span> </span>Mrs. Ledwith was born at Kilkenny, Ireland, and came to this country when a young girl.<span> </span>She had been an active member of the church in which she was married up to the time that illness forced her to take to her bed.<span> </span>The homestead at 542 West Main Street had been Mrs. Ledwith's home for the past 30 years.<span> </span>She was known by all as a kind and loving mother andneighbor, and her loss will be keenly felt by many friends who had occasion to know her.<span> </span>She leaves besides her seven children,<span> </span>eleven grandchildren. The funeral will be held from St. Raphael's church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock.<span> </span>The children are James N.,<span> </span>William H.,<span> </span>George L., and Margaret Ledwith and Mrs. William Phalen of this city, Mrs. N. A. Leary of Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Nels Peterson of Spokane, Wash.<span> </span>The children will all attend the funeral.<span> </span>Mrs Peterson has been here for the past month.</font></font></p><p style="margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 0pt"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman"><span> </span>The bearers will be John Harrington,<span> </span>Matt Lavine, Dan Trainir, Frank McNamata, Joseph Macklin and Milton Gillings.</font></font></p></span>
