Forbach, 92, Overland Park, KS, died June 7, 2010, from complications with Alzheimer's. Since February 2009, he had been a resident of Garden Terrace Nursing Home where he received excellent care. <br>A Celebration of Life service, followed by visitation, will be held Saturday, June 12, at 3:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, 6429 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO. Private interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. <br>Ed was born April 2, 1918 in Lansing, KS. He participated in several sports at Lansing High School and graduated from there in 1936. During his lifetime, he lived in Bonner Springs and Prairie Village, KS, Kansas City and Raytown, MO. Ed retired from AT&amp;T in 1979 after 42 years of service with Western Electric Co. He thoroughly enjoyed woodworking and made many useful items for all our homes, (We miss you, Dad) and for the church building. He helped with several Telephone Pioneer projects and with Habitat for Humanity. He was an active member of Village Presbyterian Church and of Faith Presbyterian before transferring to Blue Ridge Presbyterian in 2007. <br>He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bettie Forbach; sons Edward E. and wife Kay of Winder, GA, Larry W. and wife Sharon of Olathe, KS, Thomas E. and wife Marci of Overland Park, KS, Gerald L. and wife Mona of Kansas City, MO; sisters Grace Brown and Della Harding, both of Leavenworth, KS; ten grandchildren, one stepgrandson, and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, Alzheimer's Association of Kansas City, or Grace Hospice, 9233 Ward Parkway, Suite 201, Kansas City, MO 64114.
