    <p><span style="font-size: small;">United States Obituary Collection <br>Name of Deceased: Charice Earlene Nelson <br>Age at Death: 67 <br>Death Date: 14 Nov 2003 <br>Obituary Date: 19 Dec 2003 <br>Newspaper Title: Leavenworth Times, The <br>Newspaper Location: Leavenworth, KS, US <br>Birth Date: 17 Apr 1936</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;">Charice Earlene Nelson, 67, St. Joseph, Mo., died Friday Nov. 14, 2003, at a St. Joseph hospital.<br>Mrs. Nelson had been employed by the Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth; the Department of Agriculture, Grain Department in Kansas City, Mo.; the Division of Social Security, retiring after 30 years of service; and she was secretary for former Police Chief Lloyd Pasley. <br>She was born April 17, 1936, in Leavenworth. She graduated from Lansing High School and attended Missouri Western State College. She lived most of her life in St. Joseph.<br>On Nov. 27, 1969, she married Lester Guy Nelson Jr. He survives of the home.&nbsp; <br>She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Forbach, and stepfather, John W. Parson.<br>Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Missouri Pilots Association. <br>Additional survivors include two sons, Lt. Col. R.A. Swearengin, USAF, Alexandria, Va., and John W. "Jack" Swearengin, Shawnee; mother, Ruth L. Parson, Leavenworth; and five grandchildren, Steve, Austin, Elizabeth, Brittany and Brennen Swearengin.<br>Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at the Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service. Mrs. Nelson will be cremated following the service.</span></p>
