Research reveals that after William's marriage to Florence ended he went to Sydney where he worked with his brother-in-law Jacob Heiner, his sister Rebecca's husband. Family knowledge suggests that William found another partner and, as Florence was a Catholic and wouldn't divorce him, William changed his name to Ross and married her. He eventually moved to Kingsgrove, Sydney.

I've attached a marriage source, though not sure of it being 100% accurate, it does seem to fit the situation.

Whilst researching another line of the Crump family, I spoke to a family memeber who lived at Trangie, New South wales and he mentioned a Bill Crump who lived at Gin Gin and he was the son of Simpson Crump. He advised me that Bill died there.

The N.S.W. Wales death records show a Simpson William Ross having died at Trangie in 1963 and registered in the Narromine district.

The only other record I could find was the electoral roll for 1943 which shows a Simpson William Ross living at Kingsgrove and sharing the address with Lydia Henrietta Ross. Lydia died in 1962. I believe that she was born Lydia Henrietta Worn.

The information certainly supports that this history is that of William Crump born 1894 the son of Simpson and Elizabeth Crump.

It appears that William had a son to Lydia called Maurice/Morris.

It is not cetain if he had children to Florence but a headstone for Florence May Crump at Charleville suggest there were.

Contact with anyone who can add to the story would be appreciated.
