<div>I have many wonderful stories from growing up with Grandma and Grandpa Reed in Strasburg, but one of the things I remember most vividly is going with Grandma to get her hair &quot;done.&quot; I have the hair receiver in which Grandma kept her combed-out hair so that it could be used to fashion a hairpiece for her, and I HAD her hatpins until I took them to school when I was in the 7th grade and had them confiscated as &quot;weapons.&quot; My mother was dying and Dad just was too wrapped up in other things to go to school and try to get them back, so we lost those valuable antiques as a result of my stupidity.</div> <div><br></div> <div>And of course I remember accompanying Grandma to Garver Brothers where she bought cousin Mary Sue and me new frilly dresses whenever she could afford them. And the sugar cookies she baked! I have her cookie cutters (or at least some of them), but I have never mastered her art of cookie baking--I think because I don&#39;t have a pantry in which to store the ingredients!</div>
