• Story: Alessandro Cola

This will be an ongoing summary of Alessandro.

He immigrated in 1913 from Italy on the Italia. He landed in NY on 10/10/1913 and stated his intention to move to Hosmer, Canada.

On the immigration record he is stated that he was a mule driver from Southern Italy. There is a town listed on his NY Immigration papers but I can't find any town with that name in Italy.

According to the list, he came here with $25. His cousin paid for his passage and that is who he was planning on going to live with. He is also list as 5'2" with brown complexion. I assume this to be what we would call an olive complexion today.

His WWI enlistment shows he was medium height and medium build. He had dark hair and light brown eyes.
