<p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="text-align: ; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Jack Rheinberger</span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Jack Rheinberger, 85, formerly of Centerville, passed away at Deerfield Health Center in Urbandale on April 2, 2006.</p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Jack was born to Harold and Zelda Rheinberger on March 20, 1921, in Nauvoo, Ill. He attended schools in Burlington, graduating from Burlington High School in 1939. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 79th Anti-Aircraft Auto Weapons Unit in Belgium and France. After serving the Army, Jack worked for McKesson-Robbins Pharmaceuticals, retiring after 50 years.</p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Jack married Jean L. Augustine in Burlington on Nov. 13, 1943. She preceded him in death. </p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">He is survived by his children, Michael (Cathy) of Pine, Colo., Cheri (Herb) Nimmo and Stacey (Duane) Smith, all of Waukee; and grandchildren, Chad (Kristi) Nimmo of Lenexa, Kan., and Brock Nimmo of Waukee.</p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">An avid woodworker, Jack often made furniture and gift items for family and friends. He and Jean enjoyed boating and golfing. Jack was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church, Appanoose Country Club, Elks, Moose and Eagles.</p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Visitation is at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6, at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home followed by a private graveside service at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville.</p>
