  • Story: Death Announcement - Bruce Herald/Walkerton Newspaper

    "The death is announced of Mrs Wm Trimble of Cargill.  Whe was held in the greatest respect and esteem by the people of Cargill and the surrounding country.  born in the town of bush Mills in the county of Antrim in the north of Ireland of Sept 14th 1822, came to Canada in 1823, settling near Grimsby, moving later to Nassagawya, Halton County.  On Jan 10th 1851 she was married, and with her husband celebrated her golden wedding five years ago.  Leaving Nelson township in 1867, the family moved to Orillia, ten years latter to Chepstow, and in 1879 to Cargill, where they have since resided.  The home is regarded as one of the most kindly and hospitable.  Mrs. Trimble was an old member of the Methodist chruch , in which she took a deep interest, and attended regularly as health permitted.  The sorrowing husband and relatives will have the sympathy of their large cirlcel of friends.  the funeral was largely attended, the pastor, Rev. Juson Truax, officiating, assited by the resident clergy."
