The rest treatment was prescribed, and for a while she seemed to respond to the satisfaction of her doctor. Only three days before her death she became very ill and gradually grew worse. All that medical skill and loving care could do failed to stay the hand of death.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: 'lucida grande'; color: black"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: 'lucida grande'; color: black">A Chrsitian in every sense of the word, she contributed to the world so much kindness and love. Her untiring labor of good deeds remain a living monument to all who came in touch with her.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: 'lucida grande'; color: black"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: 'lucida grande'; color: black">Cassie [Cassandra] Iona Warhurst was born in Salisbury, March 31, 1868, and died July 8, 1937. She was married to Joseph O. Vance June 4, 1891. Five children were born to this union, William Marion of Moberly, Samuel Joseph, and Martin Benton of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Roy Finnell of near the home; one son, Glibert Estill, died several years ago. Besides these she leaves eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. S.B. Heiman and Mrs. C.B. Tillerson of Keytesville; Mrs. J.E. Hickerson of Kansas City and Mrs. J.Y. Miller of Armstrong; two brothers, R.L. Warhurst of Forest Green and C.O. Warhurst of Marceline, and many other relatives. Her friends are numbered by her acquaintances. She professed fath in her Savior when a child, united with Asbury church and remained true to her faith.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: 'lucida grande'; color: black"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: 'lucida grande'; color: black">Funeral services were conducted at Asbury last Friday at 2 p.m. by her pastor, Rev. H.D. Tucker. Burial was in Asbury cemetery.</span></p>
