Mrs. Arthur (Josephine) Wiles, 79, died this Friday morning, March 11, 1955, at St. Anthony's Hospital where she had been a patient since early in January. Mrs. Wiles who had been a semi-invalid for forty years, was a native of Indiana, but came with her parents to Western Kansas when she was a small child. She lived in Hays the greater part of her life.<br>Surviving are her husband; Arthur J. Wiles; two brothers, Joe Aich and John Aich of Hays and a half-sister, Mrs. J. B. Basgall of Hays.<br>Mrs. Wiles, who was a member of the Altar Society of St. Josephs Church, had been a devout Catholic all of her life and a member of the Hays parish during her residence here. <br>Two years ago in May, Mr. and Mrs. Wiles celebrated their Golden Wedding and at that time received their hundreds of friends in their home on Ash Street.<br>There was a solemn requiem high mass for Mrs. Wiles, Monday morning at 10 ‘o clock at St. Joseph's Church and burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The Rev. Father Alfred was celebrant of the high mass; the Rev. Father Fidelis was deacon and the Rev. Father Kronin of Selden was sub-deacon. Pallbearers were; A. J. Basgall, S. J. Gallagher, Earl Basgall, S. J. Gallagher, Earl Basgall, Elmer Wiles, Mike Cartridge and A. D. Weaver.<br>Obituary provided by Charlotte Stevens Schneider<br>
