<p>AN EXCERPT OF COLUMBIA COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA DEED BOOK 57, PAGE 215.</p><p>DATE - December 18, 1894</p><p>GRANTOR - William H. & Sallie Millard of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, Reuben O. & Alverna Millard of</p><p>Catawissa, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, A.G. & Catherine Lewis of Catawissa, Emanuel & Helen Hummel</p><p>of Bloomsburg, Columbia County, James F. & Sarah McBride of Bloomsburg, Benjamin and Jacob C. Millard of</p><p>Bloomsburg.</p><p>GRANTEE - Elizabeth Millard of Bloomsburg, Columbia County.</p><p>PURCHASE AMOUNT - $920</p><p>LAND PURCHASED - "All that certain messuage and lot of ground situate in the town of Bloomsburg."</p><p>METES & BOUNDS - Northwardly by Rock Street, Eastwardly by an alley, Southwardly by a lot of Mary</p><p>Lewis and Westwardly by Iron Street.</p><p>HISTORY - "It being the same premises" which Chas. R. & Rachel Paxton conveyed to Emphraim H. Little</p><p>on September 21, 1865 and recorded in Columbia County Deed Book S, Page 260. E.H. & Eliza Little then</p><p>conveyed the same to Jacob Millard on December 31, 1874. Jacob Millard died, siezed of the same premises</p><p>leaving to survive him his wife, Elizabeth (the grantee) and seven children (the grantors.)</p><p>SPECIAL NOTES - When Jacob Millard died, there was a mortgage held by the Columbia County Mutual Saving</p><p>Fund and Loan Assiciation. Elizabeth Millard paid off this loan, and by aggreement with the children, the above</p><p>premises becomes hers.</p>

Millard of Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.</p><p>PURCHASE AMOUNT - $250</p><p>LAND AMOUNT - All that piece or parcel of land in Bloomsburg.</p><p>METES &BOUNDS - Beginning on the south side of First Street and 50 feet west of the first alley east and parallel</p><p>with Iron Street. Then by a line of right angels with First Street south 40 feet to the lot of Sarah Willits then west</p><p>50 feet to a stake in Willits and Elizabeth Millard's lots. Then north 40 feet in a line parellel to the first line mentioned</p><p>to First Street. Then east 50 feet to the beginning.</p><p>HISTORY - This is part of the same premises which the children of Jacob and Elizabeth Millard conveyed to Elizabeth</p><p>Millard as part of Jacob's estate settlement on December 8, 1894.</p><p>EDITORS NOTE - Jacob C. Millard buys this lot from her mother, Elizabeth. I assume Jacob uses this land to build his </p><p>own house, next to his mother's home and where he probably was born.</p>
