    <div><strong><em>Stevens Point Daily Journal</em></strong></div><div><strong>1 Jul 1935</strong></div><div><strong><br></strong></div><div><strong>Mrs. Theresia Karner</strong></div><div><br></div><div>Mrs. Theresia Karner, a resident of Stevens Point for more than half a century, died suddenly at 3:30 o&#39;clock this morning at her home at 328 South Fremont street.</div><div><br></div><div>Mrs. Karner, whose maiden name was Theresia Zinniel, was born on October 14, 1861, in Monchoff, Austria. She came to this country alone at the age of 17 years, in 1878, and located at Stevens Point where she had lived since.</div><div><br></div><div>Her marriage to Charles Karner took place here in July, 1879. Mr. Karner worked for the Wisconsin Central railroad until 1900 when he entered the employ of the Wisconsin River Paper and Pulp company. He was employed by the latter company until his death in 1911.</div><div><br></div><div>Mrs. Karner was a member of St. Ann&#39;s society of St. Joseph&#39;s church.</div><div><br></div><div>Surviving are nine children. They are Mrs. J.M. Corcoran, 300 East avenue, Mrs. Peter Konopacki, 332 South Fremont street, Anton Karner, 308 Fremont street, John Karner, 413 South Illinois, Frank Karner, 725 Jefferson street, Charles and Joseph Karner of San Diego, CA, Mrs. J.E. Goggin of Watertown and Peter F. Karner of Pontiac, MI. There are also surviving 39 grandchildren.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Two daughters, Mrs. Harry Isherwood and Mrs. J.L. Goggins, and a son, Paul Karner, preceded their mother in death.</div><div><br></div><div>Funeral arrangements have not been completed.</div><div><br></div><div>The body was brought this afternoon from the Helbach and Beste funeral home at Mosinee to the family home at 328 South Fremont street, where it will be until the time of the funeral.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>Stevens Point Daily Journal</em></strong></div><div><strong>2 Jul 1935</strong></div><div><strong><br></strong></div><div><strong>Funeral For Mrs. Karner</strong></div><div><br></div><div>Funeral services for Mrs. Theresia Karner, who died Monday Morning at her home at 328 South Fremont street, will be held Friday morning at 9 o&#39;clock at St. Joseph&#39;s church. Rev. H.J. Ehr will officiate and interment will take place in St. Joseph&#39;s cemetery.</div><div><br></div><div>Rev. George A. Casey will lead the rosary Wednesday evening at 8 o&#39;clock and Father Ehr Thursday evening at the same time at the Karner home where the body will be until the time of the funeral.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>Stevens Point Daily Journal</em></strong></div><div><strong>July 6, 1935</strong></div><div><strong><br></strong></div><div><strong>FUNERAL OF MRS. KARNER</strong></div><div><br></div><div>Funeral services for Mrs. Theresia Karner, who died suddenly Monday morning at her home at 328 South Fremont street, were held Friday morning at 9 o&#39;clock at St. Joseph&#39;s church. Rev. H.J. Ehr officiated and interment took place in St. Joseph&#39;s cemetery.</div><div><br></div><div>The pallbearers, all grandsons of Mrs. Karner, were Jerome Konopacky, Charles and Henry Isherwood, Carl and John Schmidt and William Karner.</div><div><br></div><div>Audrey Konopacky, Valerie, Margaret and Elaine Karner and Ramona and Grace Isherwood, granddaughters, were in charge of the numerous floral offerings.</div><div><br></div><div>Two other grandsons of Mrs. Karner, Robert and Karl Konopacky, served as altar boys.</div><div><br></div><div>Those from out of town who were here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. John Goggins of Watertown; Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Goggins of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Peter F. Karner and two daughters of Pontiac, MI; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Obenberger of Milwaukee; Paul Zinniel and Joseph Phillip of Fond du Lac and Eileen Lindsay of Morris, IL.</div>
