She gave birth to their first child in this new marriage - Isaia - and when Isaia was three years old, Carol died in the First World War as an unknown hero. Isaia was growing up as an orphan and poor Henriette sent the children of her husband back to his family. There</span><span style="font-family: verdana"> was no contact between the children, brothers of the same father, until they met accidentally after about 50 years. Cornel Iancovici was a French teacher in our neighborhood, I saw him on the street in </span><span style="font-family: verdana">Bucharest</span><span style="font-family: verdana"> in 1970 and I was astonished to see how similar his face was to my father's. I stopped him asking for his identity... </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana">Henriette never got married again. Her son Tica never got married and lived with her until she passed away.</span> </p> <p> </p>
