    <p><strong><em><font face="times new roman,times" size="3">Chatham Daily News&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; January 9, 1956</font></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">In fading health for a number of years, Mrs. Elsie Mae Ackert Gow, aged 62 years, wife of Mr. John Gow, passed away on Sunday at her residence 208 Patteson Avenue.</font></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Mrs. Gow was born in Kent Bridge Ontario, daughter of the late Charles Ackert and Catherine Arnold.&nbsp; She had been a resident of Chatham for the past thirty six years.&nbsp; She was an adherent of First Presbyterian Church.</font></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Surviving are her husband, John Gow, Chatham, two sons, Thomas Gow and John Gow, both of Chatham; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Davidson, Thamesville and Mrs. Nathan Bebington, Chatham; one brother, John Ackert of Detroit.&nbsp; There are also six grandchildren.</font></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Mrs. Gow is resting at the John G. Stephen Funeral Home, Wellington Street West, where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2pm by Rev. Hugh F. Davidson of the First Presbyterian Church.&nbsp; Internment will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.</font></em></strong></p>

Dr. Daniel officiating, the marriage took place of Miss Elsie Mae Ackert and Mr. John Gow, both of this city.&nbsp; Miss Grace Ackert and Mr. Robert Gow were the attendants.</font></em></strong></p>
