Born on November 16, 1920 to the late S. Loraine Boerger and Ursia Rhea Boerger, she was a 1939 graduate from South Side High School. She worked at Lincoln Life Insurance Company for 25 years before retiring.</span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Kathlyn</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> was a member of the Eastern Star # 514, widows of the Shrine, Rebeka lodge, and Aldersgate United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She has taught private piano lessons to many children over the years. </span><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 17px; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #444444; line-height: 24.265625px;">Kathlyn</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'times new roman', georgia, serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24.265625px;"> sang in the Wesley Church Choir and played the English hand bells for many years. She truly loved her family and helping others. Surviving are her four children: Sondra Glidewell (Roger), Rhea Glidewell (Hugh), R. Elaine Ping, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 pm, Friday, September 30, 2011 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road with calling from 12 noon till the service, Rev. John Newberg officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. </span></p>
