    <p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">Guttenberg Press, IA, Thursday, February 19, 1942, p1<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">RODENBURG (sic/Rodenberg) RITES HELD ON TUESDAY<br>Aged Woman Suffers Frostbite In January<br>DIED SATURDAY<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning for Mrs. Anna Rodenberg, 83, at St. Mary&#39;s church.&nbsp; The services were in charge of Rev. J. A. Dupont and burial was in the church cemetery.<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Died at Home of Daughter<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Mrs. Rodenberg died last Saturday about 8:45 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed. Schnieder following a long illness.&nbsp; Several weeks ago Mrs. Rodenberg suffered severe frostbite when the fire when out in her home and she spent the night unprotected during the January cold wave.&nbsp; She never recovered from this experience.<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Mrs. Rodenberg was born January 17, 1859, in Pennsylvania, and on April 15, 1884, was married to Mathias Boss in Clayton county.&nbsp; A son, Andrew Boss lives at San Antonio, Texas.<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Children Survive<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; On March 7, 1899, she was married to August Rodenberg at Ceres.&nbsp; Two children survive.&nbsp; They are Mrs. Sylvia Rodenburg (sic/Rodenberg) Schnieder of Guttenberg and Oliver Rodenburg (sic) of Davenport.&nbsp; Nine grandchildren survive.<br></font></font></p><p><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Four brothers and one sister preceded Mrs. Rodenburg (sic/Rodenberg) in death.</font></font></p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Aug. 24, 1806 in Hanover, Germany. He m. Anna Maria Karl Nov. 22, 1836. Anna b. Dec. 9, 1813, at Falden Hesson, Mecklenberg, Germany. They came to America and settled in Penn. where their 11 children were all born; Wilhelm, Andress, Maria, Johannas, Mathilda, Ludwig, Alfred, Theodore, Henrich, Alexander and Anna. <br></font></font><font size="3"><font face="comic sans ms,sand">&nbsp;&nbsp; Anna b. Jan. 17, 1861, m. Andrew Boss, 1 child. 2nd m. to August Rodenberg (his 2nd m. too). August and Anna have two children, Oliver and Sylvia m. Ed Schneider of Guttenberg.</font></font>
