<span style="font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif"><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; padding: 0px">Hattie Van Hoepen dies here at age 72</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; padding: 0px">Funeral services were held April 28 for Mrs. Hattie Van Hoepen, 72, who died April 25 at the Brookings Hospital. She was a lifeling resident of Volga and was the mother of two Volga businessmen, Marion Van Hoepen and Harold Van Hoepen.</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; padding: 0px">The rev. Jerold Pomp officiated at the services at First Reformed Church, Volga. Music was by Miss Berdella Grooters, soloist, and Mrs. Bernard Heitbrink, organist. Interment was in Trinity Cemetery, Volga. Pallbearers were Ralph Van Maanen, Arnold Van Maanen, Henry Van Maanen, Edward Van Maanen, Duane Kleinjan and Donald Naaktgeboren. Arrangements were in charge of Wolting Funeral Home.</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; padding: 0px">She was born August 8, 1897, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Henry breeschoten. She married William Van Hoepen, Dec. 11, 1920.</p><p style="margin-: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-: 0px; line-height: 1.3; padding: 0px">Survivors include two sons, Marion and Harold, both of Volga; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Evelyn) Algra, Bruce, Mrs. Wilbur (Adriana) Kleinjan, Mrs. Charles (Henrietta) Van Beek, Brookings, and Mrs. Ronald (Wilma) Bjerke, Brookings; four brothers, Ralph Breeschoten, Volga, Gerrit Breeschoten, Silver Creek, Minn., Henry Breeschoten, Howard Lake, Minn., and John Breeschoten, Volga; five sisters, Mrs. Guy Van Maanen, Volga, Mrs. William Kleinjan, Volga, Mrs. William Mol, Silver Creek, Minn., Mrs. Anna Naaktgeboren, Wood Lake, Minn.; 17 granchildren and one great grandchild.</p></span>
