<font size="2"><p>Ottawa Citizen - April 7, 1932 - Mrs. Sam McDougall Passes at Cobourg - Former Miss Lilian Daintry A Gracious Figure</p> <p>The many friends of Mrs. Sam McDougall will learn with profound regret of her death this morning at her home at the Poplars, Cobourg, Ontario. The hearts of those who were privileged to know the sweet, kindly and gracious wife of Sam McDougall will go out to the bereaved husband and sister who are left to mourn her loss. Mr. and Mrs. Sam McDougall and Miss Louise Daintry, Mrs. McDougall's sister, lived for several years in Ottawa, and the charming personality of the one who has passed from their midst will remain as a pleasant, gracious memory to her many friends.</p> <p>Before her marriage in 1912, Miss Lilian Daintry was a frequent visitor in the capital, and the bonds of affection with her circle of girlhood friends have been cemented with the passing of years. To these friends, as well as her relatives, her passing will come as a severe shock.</p> <p>Mrs. McDougall was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Daintry, of the Poplars, Cobourg and Cheshire, England. The surviving member of the family are Miss Louise Daintry, a sister; Percy Daintry, residing in Cheshire, a brother; Mrs. William McDougall and Mrs. Egerton Ryerson of Ottawa, aunts; Mrs. Jones of Louisville, Kentucky, a niece; Mr. Daintry Fitzhugh and Mr. Henry Fitzhugh, children of Mrs. McDougall's sister, the late Mrs. H. Fitzhugh; Mrs. P. Baskerville and Mr. Hector Girouard of Ottawa are cousins.</p></font>
