<p><font face="Arial" size="3">Family Oral History According to Eszter Mester Szeles - reported by her son (Arpad) Albert Mac (Szeles) Syeles - tape recorded in 1975 by Arpad&#39;s&nbsp;son Albert Syeles</font></p><p>Eszter Mester Szeles&nbsp;is a direct decendant of the Baron of Somogy (through her mother Rose Somogy). (Arpad) Albert (Szeles) Syeles heard this from his Mother -Eszter,&nbsp;his father and his &quot;Aunt&quot; (Mary?) Vas, a cousin of his mother. [Arpad Vas and Molly Vas were other &quot;cousins&quot; (pronounced &quot;vush)]</p><p>Arpad&#39;s Uncle Frank (Mester)&nbsp;lived in Europe. After WWI the borders moved and his villiage was then in Czechoslovakia across the Tisza River. He would smuggle things into Hungary.</p><p>Janos, Arpad&#39;s father was an officer in the cavalry. He left because he saw too many things that he didn&#39;t like. For instance, a soldier would have to see to that a villiager&#39;s daughter would sleep with a prince, and that girl would be ruined for life.</p>
